  2. It’s not just about the earthquake. It’s about grinding poverty The city is poor The countryside is poorer still. The last 19 km of “road” to Fodivah Orphanage More than one hour by truck

  3. Arrival at Fodivah Orphanage 35 Children No Safe Buildings or Roofs No Water No Sanitation No Electricity No Security 3 Bowls of rice a week for each child. No School Supplies No Toys…………..Just Rocks

  4. Fixing the Buildings New Roofs Reinforced Walls Concrete Floors & Sidewalks Prevent Flooding

  5. New DormitoryA Place to Sleep for Boys and Girls No more sleeping in the dirt Each Child has their own bed, sheets and blanket

  7. New Kitchen More Food Better Nutrition New Refrigerator

  8. The Old Sanitation System Yes…………. That’s a Toilet And nowhere to wash your hands. Just Imagine

  9. Water The Source of Life The only clean well within 10 km

  10. Sanitation Flush Toilets Sinks with Taps Showers Laundry Tubs Reduction in gastro-intestinal ailments.

  11. School at Fodivha Orphanage School now has pencils, paper, blackboards and a few French language books where there were none before

  12. Solar Electricity and Security Light shines from the new library and a safe walk to the toilet at night. Perimeter wall and a new gate provide security and pride for the orphanage.

  13. Children Playing Bobbing for apples on Sunday Play Day First time any of the children had tasted an apple
