  4. COLUMBUS PUBLIC SCHOOLS • Students with Disabilities • December Count 2004 – 8,467 students with disabilities • 13.9% of the District Enrollment • 57.35% African American • 39.3% White • 1.8% Hispanic • .77% Asian American

  5. COLUMBUS PUBLIC SCHOOLS • Students with Limited English Proficiency • 4,341 Total Students with LEP • 2,928 Students with LEP receiving ESL services • 1,413 Students with LEP monitored • 25% Somali • 38% Hispanic/Latino • 104 ESL Teachers

  6. COLUMBUS PUBLIC SCHOOLS • Students Identified as Gifted and Talented • Total Identified for 2004-2005 – 11,791 • 57% African American • 37% White • 3% Asian American • 2% Hispanic • 64 Gifted and Talented Coordinators & Specialists
