  5. 1.About the financial market of Japan ➣The background of the banking sector reform① 1970’s Rapid economic growth > Due to rich capital investment, real Economy was short of Capital. > Financial institutions move in lockstep under the convoy system administered by the Ministry of Finance. 1980’s Bubble economy >From 1985-1990 there was an asset bubble. > Not only the financial institutions, but the nonfinancial companies were into financial investment. Which was called “Zaiteku” in Japanese.

  6. 1.About the financial market of Japan ➣The background of the banking sector reform② 1990’s Bad loan Problems >After the bubble, Japan has been suffering from the bad loans. >At the time, the mission of Japanese Banks were to recover from the crucial issue. 2000’s Financial Big Bang > After time of the bad loans, Japanese Financial market was to prepare for global competition. > The Answer was the deregulation of the Japanese Financial Market.

  8. 2.About Trust Banks of Japan ➣Outlook for Trust Banks ✓ Trust banks are unique among Japanese financial institutions in that they combine financing services with asset management services. ✓In addition to providing conventional banking services like city banks, trust banks use their specialized knowledge effectively to provide a broad range of financial services, via such businesses as the trust and concurrent businesses, to accommodate the need for more diversified and sophisticated financial and asset management services.   10. 3.Labor-Management Relation ➣Labor‐Management Discussion Meetings Labor-management discussion meetings are held to share issues and discuss ways to improve situations. Such meetings are held at various levels of SMTB or MUTB. These meetings serve as opportunities for us to express the voice of employees.
