  1. Introduction • The Region III Levee website (R3 Wiki) manages the region's levee properties and accreditation status at project, system, and segment levels. • The wiki serves as the main repository for: • PAL letter tracking, deadlines and schedules. www.R3Levees.org

  2. Midterm Levee Inventory (MLI) • MLI complements USACE National Levee Database (NLD). • MLI captures all levee data (USACE and non-USACE), with a primary focus on levees that provide protection from the base (1-percent annual chance) flood. • The Wiki is being used to share the MLI information.

  3. Provisionally Accredited Levee (PAL) • A levee that FEMA has previously credited with providing 1-percent annual chance protection on an effective FIRM or DFIRM, for which FEMA is awaiting data and/or documentation that will show the levee’s compliance with Section 65.10 of the NFIP regulations. • PALs are part of the MLI.

  4. Why use the Wiki? • A Wiki is an online resource linking a collection of websites. Unlike websites, users are not only able to read, but can also add and edit content collectively. GOAL: • Share/house MLI & PAL information
