  9. A Typical Day My plan for a typical day in Early Childhood Services: We start with the reading of a book. I will bring them at first; feel free to bring an old favorite, if you have one. We will work – mostly overheads, some notes, handouts, group discussions. We will end with an activity – artwork, rhyme, song, play. Periodically, I will show you a movie that reflects a child’s life in a different culture or in a different time. If you have one in mind, please help me devise a list!

  10. Journal Every Friday, you need to submit a journal: this is informal, I want to hear your voice and to discover what you are thinking about and how you are doing. 1) what have you learned this week? A little summary of the content 2) what do you “get”? 3) what confuses you? 4) what excites you or surprises you? 5) Do you have anything to share --- does what we are learning prompt you to think about your childhood? About your experience with a child in your life? About your career future?
