  2. Definition When a force acts upon an object to cause a displacement of the object. There are three key ingredients- force, displacement, and cause.  

  3. In order for a force to qualify as having done work on an object, there must be a displacement and the force must cause the displacement.

  4. Examples Ahorse pulling a plow through the field, a mother pushing a cart down the aisle of a store, a student lifting a backpack full of books upon her shoulder, a child pulling his wagon over the ground, etc.

  6. Homework Print off the Lesson 32 worksheet, complete and we will review them together during the next lesson.
