Typed, Handwritten, or Email • Typed is more formal • Preferred option, if you are not sure • Hand-written is more personal • Consider the personality of the business • Smaller businesses will appreciate the personal touch • Email is fastest way to get message delivered • Appropriate ONLY if you know decision will be made same day as your interview

  4. Time • Follow-up promptly • Within 24 hours of interview

  5. Format • Typical business format • Heading • Inside address • Formal salutation • Formal closure • Signature

  6. Structure • Intro paragraph • Thank interviewer for taking time to meet with you • Mention interest in the job • Show your enthusiasm for the job
