Zeal is Commanded! • Revelation 3:14-22 The Lord’s church at Laodicea - “Therefore be zealous and repent.” • “Why am I not on fire for the Lord, as I was in the beginning?” • Lack of Faith – Hebrews 3:16-19; 4:1-2 • Weak Faith due to Suffering, Bitterness, Apathy, Weariness, or Despair – The result will be the same! (devil wins!)

  3. Zeal Alone Will Not Save You! • Faith Alone will not save you! James 2:14, 17-18 • Grace Alone will not save you! Titus 2:11-15 • Works Alone will not save you! • Baptism Alone will not save you! • God wants your Heart! Your Obedience! Your Zeal! Zeal is Not Wrong!

  4. ARE YOU ZEALOUS FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, INSTEAD OF WHO IS RIGHT? “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”Psalms 69:9; John 2:17 Jesus was zealous! Paul’s Zeal –“I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.” Acts 23:1 *Sincerely Following Error!* (THE UT LINE TO NO WHERE!)

Zeal for Control Over Others But Paul recognized Zeal without Knowledge – 1 Corinthians 8:1-2; Galatians 4:16-18 “yes, they want to exclude you, that you may be zealous for them.” “But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always.” Titus 3:9-11, have you considered these passages? Regarding the Zeal of Some to establish themselves as the authority in a local church which results in division?

  6. Zealous for the Wrong Things! Are you zealous to point out the errors of others? 3 John 9-11 “Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them,” • Colossians 2:8, 18-23 Zeal For Human Wisdom! People are led astray by the misdirected zeal of others. • 2 Peter 3:15-18 “Since you know this beforehand, Beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; But Grow!”

  7. SAVE YOURSELVES • The world is filled with false religions and you are obligated to save yourselves from them, but not to the point of establishing a new religion that is according to you! • Acts 2:40-41 “And they were baptized both men and women!” • “And the Lord added to the church daily those that were being saved.” Acts 2:47
