Matching Funds • The University of Texas share of the Center = $600k • Funding Diversification • Created: International Center for Partnered Pavement Preservation • Ongoing TxDOT proposal on pavement preservation • CAF Latin American Development Bank pledged $150k • Meet with Deputy Director (Mr. Barton), Director for Research, and Director of Maintenance Division • Outcome: 4-year contract $300k/year

  4. Accelerated Pavement Testing • Heavy Vehicle Simulator (HVS) • Cost = $1,800,000 • 1,000 load applications per hour • Approx. 500,000 a month • Meet Department Chair and VP for Research • Meet Associate Dean for Research, then VP and CFO • Business Plan = 20 cents per load application • 3-year proposal for $3.5 million
