  4. Education • Need a diploma, GED, or to be 21 years of age. • Need to know Math Accounting, Business, Computer Skills, Science, Foreign Language, high state of physical fitness and moral fitness. • They say having more than a diploma, its also good to have an associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

  5. Application-Process • Choose a department to apply then take an civil service exam.

  7. Polygraph Test POLYGRAPH TEST • Lie detector test • Drug test • Cant have felonies • Weapon violation • History of domestic violence

Police written exam & oral board interview • Personality test to see why you would make a good officer • Test your judgment and problem solving capabilities • You’ll also be asked a question: "A fellow officer calls for assistance on a family dispute that is getting out of control. Upon your arrival to the house you see the requesting officer struggling with a male subject on the floor. The male subject is on top of the officer attempting to punch him in the face. What are you going to do, and why?"
