  1. Dealing with Diaper Rashes Dealing with diaper rashes requires a lot of care and preventive measures. Keeping the diaper clean and regularly changing the diaper are a few tips. Diaper rashes can lead to increased frequency of crying, change in eating habits and disturb the sleeping patterns of your baby. Rashes can also lead to agitation, restless behaviour and reduced urination/defecation because of continued pain. Causes of diaper rashes include keeping a wet/soiled diapers for too long, chafing against the diaper, bacterial infection, allergy from the diaper and yeast infections. The rashes look like red splotches on the skin or are at times red scales in the genital area. Parents should follow a few preventive measures to make sure that their baby does not have to experience the problem of rashes frequently: ●Keep the diaper clean: Baby’s diaper should not be too tight to stop the skin from breathing properly. Secondly, diapers for newborns should not be left wet for a longer period of time because wetness can lead to rashes. It is important to keep the baby's skin clean and dry otherwise the chances of rashes occurring get higher. ●Regular diaper change: If your baby is suffering from diaper rashes, then remember to change the diapers on a regular basis. Soiled diapers should be removed from the skin as soon as possible so that there is no transfer of bacteria on the skin. Regularly using baby wipes after every diaper change also helps in keeping the skin soft and bacteria-free. 2. ●Diaper fitting should be proper: The fitting of the diaper should be proper which means it should not be either too loose or too tight. Too tight fitted diapers can reduce the area for the skin to breathe properly and lead to the accumulation of rashes causing bacteria. It is suggested to keep changing the size of the diaper regularly as your baby keeps growing. Price of the baby diapers is not too much and one can even buy baby diapers online to get them at a discounted price. ●Change the diet of babies: The diet of babies should not include acidic foods like citrus fruits and tomatoes because these fruits can cause the urine and feces to become acidic and irritating. Parents should try to include these foods in a minimum quantity in the diet and then observe whether these foods are causing rashes or not. ●Avoid scrubbing the area In addition to keeping the diaper area clean and dry, parents should also keep in mind that scrubbing the area can lead to the occurrence of rashes or worsening of the rashes. Gentle cleaning is suggested while changing the diapers since that will help stop the rashes from becoming much worse. Rubbing or scrubbing the skin can cause harm to the sensitive skin. To avoid running out of nappies, buy baby diapers online in India and keep a stock for emergency purposes. ●Try oatmeal bath: Oatmeal bath is known for reducing inflammation and treating the irritation which arises due to the occurrence of diaper rashes. This bath is also known to have reduced the pain and itching that arises from diaper rashes.
