  1. By Alex Wilson and Louis Sutton Grey wolves in Germany - the facts

  2. Wolf facts • Similar Species to dogs: some wolves hold their tails at a downward angle. Other wolves carry their tails straight out.

  3. The wolf habitat • A wolf will live in an open tundra (treeless lands) and forests. They howl to communicate and live properly.

  4. Wolf communicates   • A wolf communicates by howling. Even though some other wolves might be far away, they will always know they are never alone.

  5. Hunting wolves • Wolves follows the caribou on their migration hunting the older and slower animals. They are very good runners and will follow herds of caribou (deer) from up to 20 kilometres a day. • (yes. It is scary!!!!!!!!!!) • A deer’s last sight might be a huge mouth of sharp teeth and the last thing it will hear will either be a howl or a growl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. What is important about wolf howls? • Wolves use sound (howling) to communicate with a friend, to tell rivals to stay away and to attract a mate (a wife or husband).
