  2. Purpose • The purpose behind creating a digital learning community is to extend learning for all members beyond the traditional constraints of time and physical location.

  3. Interactions: • Teacher-to-Teacher: Would allow for professional growth and increased collaboration • Student-to-Student: Would allow for peer interactions to create a sort of digital study group • Teacher-to-Student: Would allow for experts in the field to respond to student questions

  4. Resources: • Teacher: • Performance Tasks • Online Resources • Innovative Teaching Strageties • Assessments • Discussion groups • Ability to create “classes” • Student: • Additional Practice • Links to Online Resources (videos, notes, simulations) • Discussion groups • “Classes” to join • Practice Assessments

  5. Membership: • Open membership in most areas to any teacher or student looking to collaborate, share, and gain additional knowledge within the field • Appropriate credentials needed to submit responses in the “Ask the Teacher” forums • Contingent upon appropriate interactions among members (abiding by appropriate netiquette and acceptable use policies) • Free!
