  3. Each team will receive points for the blocks they knock down. The team with the most points wins… BUT… How to Play There are 4 jobs… Throwers Builders Clean Sweepers Sorters

  4. Throwers toss Angry Birds at it… Builders build a block tower… Clean sweepers sweep all the blocks that fell to the sorters… Sorters solve the multiplication fact and line up the addition problem, then return it to the throwers to solve.

  5. Notability iPad Jobs: -Typist 1 -Typist 2 -Photographer -Artist -Designer -Manager During the game, we will be using an iPad App called Notability to record.

  10. Click here for a new project! Getting Started • This is Notability’s home page. • Choose your project from the list or click on the to start a new project.

  11. Changing the Title • Always change the title using the following: • Teacher’s Name • Date • List all group members’ first names This is where the title goes!

  12. Typing on Page • Tap the to type on the page. • This is how we will type the steps of the Engineering Design Process (ask, imagine, plan, create, improve.) Tap to type on the page!

  13. Changing the Font • Whenever the keyboard is present, you can change the font style, size, color, etc. by taping the different options and selecting. Use these options to change the fonts!

  14. Draw on Page • Tap the to draw a picture. • Tap twice for color and line options. • Use this to draw plans, idea webs, etc. Tap this once to draw or twice for the drawing options menu!

  15. Erasing • Use undo to quickly erase the last thing you did. • Use the eraser to erase objects you’ve drawn. UNDO ERASER

  16. Adding a Photo • Tap the to take a photo and add it to your project. • Tap “Take a Photo.” • Tap “Use.” • Use this to add pictures of your group during the create step of the EDP.

  17. Captioning a Photo • Once you’ve added a photo, you should add a caption describing what is happening in the photo. • Click “Add a Caption” and type.

  18. Adding a Text Box • You can use text boxes to type a small box of words anywhere on the page. • This can be useful for labeling your drawings. • Hold your finger where ever you want the text box. • Tap “+Text Box.” • Tap inside the box and type. Type inside the text box!

  19. Moving Text Boxes and Photos • You can move a photo or text box by tapping the then tapping the object. • Drag the object using the gray tab at the top of it.

  20. Returning to the Home Page • Go back to the home page at the end of class so that the next group can use the app the same way you did! Click here to return to the home page!
