  3. ISDE Bid The WALIS team have won the Australian bid to host the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE) Symposium in 2011. ISDE is a non-political, non-governmental and not-for-profit international organisation. The WALIS team is now working hard on the international bid for the 7th Symposium (ISDE7), against a number of other countries. Marnie Leybourne will travel to China in early September along with Kara Coote from the Perth Convention Bureau and the proposed co-chair of ISDE7, Professor Linlin GE from the University of New South Wales. They will be giving a presentation to the ISDE Executive Committee at the 6th Symposium in Beijing. For more information about ISDE http://www.digitalearth-isde.org/
