  8. Eye direction of father “Each day the old man directly gazed at the way his son would return. His eyes began to lost their focus and slowly began to close. Visionless old man who has been waiting his son’s return demonstrates God’s love.”

  9. Father’s Hands “Father’s hands embracing his son are different. Left hand is like man’s hand of strength. Right hand is like woman’s hand of softness. This picture demonstrates reconciliation, forgiveness and healing.

  10. Reality of second son “The left foot is without sandal full of scars, while the right foot is with torn apart sandal. This depicts how poor the son was and the reality of his life lost everything”

  11. Reality of second son “Like prisoners, the son lost all his hairs. He looks like an infant in the mother’s stomach. This speaks of the eternal home we will return is God’s bosom and arms.

Careful observation will lead your QT to be deep and fruitful.

  31. Type C QT(Application focusedQT) Observation+ Reflection/Impression + Resolution & Application

  32. What is Observation of the text? • Summary of the text • Discovering facts and information the text intended to communicate. • Summarize the main content of the text.

  33. What is impression in QT? • Reflect myself with God’s word • Open up my life honestly and transparently. • Repent anything that is not consistent with the truth.

  34. 1. What is resolution & application? • It is about applying biblical principles to my personal life. • Use 4P of Application.

  35. 4 Principles of Application (4P) 1) Personal • Use “I” instead of “we.” • Don’t think and write what others and church should do. • “we” ‘our Church” “my spouse”? • Start from “I will ……”

  36. 2) Practical • Things, time, person and detail content to apply • General and impractical application will not bring any transformation. • “I will serve the church” “ I will love God more” ‘I repent” These expressions are not practical application. • “I will talk to my coworker, John, who had verbal conflict last week to ask for forgiveness on next Monday.”

  37. 3) Possible • Something you can do right away after my QT • Things I have been delaying although I can do them. Decision to do what you possibly cannot do means that you won’t do it. • Don’t postpone your application and practice right away • “… I will ask the person to have lunch.”

  38. September 30, 2017 (7:40pm) 1 Corin 10:31-33 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, 33 just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.

  39. 5000 baht50%2,500 bahtbut 1000 baht received. The actual cost? Bible with gospel track Praying for him (Bam -12 years old)

  40. 4) Progressive • Plan it step by step how to apply God’s principles and apply them. • Application you cannot apply at one time, apply gradually and progressive one at a time. • Don’t try to make too big resolution and application from the beginning.. • “… I will ask the person to have lunch.” “After lunch, I will apologize first.” “ I will take care of lunch bill.”

  41. 2. For Good Resolution and application • Alignwhat you were impressed by Gods’ word to your application. • Do things you can do Today. • Actions bring life transformation. • I will do What at When through How for Who.
