  1. UKHTA STATE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY http://www.ugtu.net Representative ofOil and Gas Universities Union in Russia, one of the largest technical University in the European North-West of Russia. There are more than 8000 students in our universitycomplex. About University • Faculty structure: • Oil and Gas Field Faculty • Geological Prospecting Faculty • Forestry Engineering Faculty • Faculty of Information Technologies • Architecture and Civil Building Faculty • Faculty of Humanitarian Sciences • Economics and Management Faculty • Institution of Physical Training, Sports and Tourism • Extramural Faculty(post-graduate education) • Preparing education faculty. University has special training base near the Ukhta city with its own oil&gas resources, forests and laboratories. The university collaborates with all leading oil and gas industry enterprises of the Russian Federation, Komi Republic and Russia and foreign partners (oil&gas, mining, geology, timber and building industries). Main partners of the University: Gazprom, Lukoil, Rosneft, Transneft, Zarubezhneft, Sberbank and oth.

  2. Science and research • Research schools and institutes: • Research institute of oil and gas industry; • Branch science laboratory of geology and geodesy; • HR on the European North; • Automation, management and identification in complex technological systems; • Radiometric and electromagnetic methods of investigation of the area of extraction and transportation of oil and gas; • Sciences of the Earth, solid matter and plasma; • e.t.c USTU was awarded with diplomas and medals for high scientific and technical development activities. Every year students from USTU participant in many conferences, competitions and other events and occupy wining places. The University annual organize Russian and international conference: «SeverGeoEcoTech»,«Integration», «Communication, Society, Spirituality», «Rassokhin readings», «Problems of development and exploration fields of heavy oil and bitums» and many others. Every department has big number of special and unique laboratories for lectures, practical work and research, provided by federal financing and with support of oil&gas and other enterprises USTU technology partners: Intel, Microsoft, Roxar, Schlumberger, Autodesk, Oracle, Cisco and others.

  3. International cooperation and offers • International activities of the University are aimed at increasing the quality of education and preparing specialists in the directions of USTU activities, developing international relations and cooperation with partners. • Education programs (in Russian and English), trainings and seminars with enterprises; • International projects and cooperation programs, education and culture / tourism visits • For years of productive cooperation our students had an opportunity to study in leading educational institutions of Germany, the USA, Canada, Norway, Finland, China, South Korea, Malta. Also we have general cooperation agreement with universities in Portugal, Czech Republic, Lithuania and other countries. Cooperation project: Electronic magazine «INTEGRATION - international oil&gas education and cooperation in Russia» Targets: • Development of integration and cooperation between Russia and foreing countries • Information partnership of oil&gas universities for raising level and quality of education process – for national and international business and research. •Analyst and implementation of innovation experience in daily and perspective activiy of the universities and industry • Development of cooperation projects for mutual understanding between youth • Promote image of national oil&gas education on international level (for each partner) Participants: •Oil&gas universities from Russia, EU, the USA, Asia and Oceania and CIS countries; •Leading Russian and international oil&gas companies; •Government (government, education, international relations and cooperation).

  4. Student’s life • There are different facilities for USTU students: • 5 comfortable hostels, recreation complex “University - Planet” • more than 20 different sport sections (including volleyball, basketball, football, swimming, boxing, judo, athletics and many others), professional sport teams - university basketball team ‘University – Planet“ which is playing in higher league of official Russian Championship. • Every year students of our university have an opportunity to work during their summer vacations joining the Regional Students’ Construction Group ‘Severyanin’. Fees assessment (approx.) Taxi: 2-3 USD, bus: 0,3 USD, dinner 3-10 USD, hotel: 20-170 USD Thanks for attention!
