  3. Background • Founded in 1992 for MBA students only • Financed for 2 years by the President’s Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund • Expanded in the third year to include undergraduate students (7 undergrads and 7 grads) UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

  5. Employment Terms • Start and end dates are negotiated between employee and employer • Salary is negotiated between employee and employer • Responsibilities are set by employer • Faculty members provide advice and support UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

Application Process • Application is to the program, not to a specific job –indicate willingness to work out of town • Employer decides on screen • May want to see all applications • May want faculty to screen to a smaller number • May want faculty to select one or two candidates • Applications are passed on to employers who make final decisions • Once final placement is set, special studies are set up, if needed • Professional skills training a possibility UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA
