  2. Comma’s / Quotes • For my birthday I want a cake cat $20 some new shoes a gorilla and a giant cage said Luke. • Comma’s are used normally for lists and other continuous sentences. • Quotes are used for getting ready to hear a conversation. “ , , , “ , , ,

Adverb Verbs / Adjectives/Adverb Verb Adjective • The huge dog sleepily trembled to the living room where he fell down due to sleepiness. • Adjectives are used for describing the person place or thing. • Verbs are used for physical activity or action. • Adverbs make you add ly to specific words.

  4. Colon Colon • Dear Mr. Canada: We would be ecstatic if you would join our company. A colon is used in formal letters, or explaining a title more.

  5. Semicolons Semicolon • I’ll tell you what I am going to do I’m going to the candy aisle and your going to like it. • A semicolon is used for a beginning of an explanation or time sign. ;

  6. Proper Adjectives Proper Adjective • The men and women we met at the America’s looked like Americans. There were also different types of people. • A proper adjective is Canadian, German, American etc.

  7. Proper Noun Nouns/Proper Nouns Noun • That building has a person that’s name is Max. • Nouns are something like person, place, or thing (somewhere, person, area, etc.). • Proper Nouns are naming the exact name of the Noun (Tom, United States, Wal-Mart, etc.).

  8. Apostrophe Apostrophes • I was amazed by Max’s game room with a Wii, Playstation, and a bunch of other game systems. • An Apostrophe is used for a sat the end of a singular word.

  10. Bacon: I think it’s a fake. I think it’s going to be the next ice age. I blame BP because they actually are estimated to spill 72 gallons every 4 days. They are going to kill over 100 known animal species and who knows how many unknown species. I hate it. They are probably going to make the ozone deplete even faster. Porkchop and I: What do you think about global warming? How do you feel about the oil spill in the Atlantic? Why is BP so bad to you? How do you feel about the millions of dollars put into the railroad in Illinois? Interview

  11. Bacon Yes and no. We should because of we’ll have more weapon storage, but no because they might turn on us and kill us. Because if we try they might think we are intruders so they would either kill us or imprison us. Plus if they wanted to they could probably nuke the whole world. Mandy: I would definitely choose a smaller country without a lot of weapons and I would choose a country that is not friends with a country with a lot of nuclear weapons. Porkchop and I Do you believe that we should become friends with Cuba? Why do you think that relations with North Korea aren’t going so well? If we had to invade a country because our economy all of a sudden collapsed and we went broke, which country would you choose? Interview (cont)

  12. Pronoun I Y • you are the strangest child i have ever seen. • A pronoun is a person, place, or thing that must be capitalized (think of it as a Proper Noun)
