  1. IDEAL-IST The global Partner Search and Support Network for your ICT Projects

  2. About Ideal-IST • Ideal-IST: SSA in IST CALL 6, FP6 co-ordinated by DLR (DE) • Project duration: 2 years (Oct. 2006 – Sept. 2008) • 50 Partners from EU and others • Support the participation of organisations of all types in ICT FP7 • Special focus on newcomers & SMEs: • New Member States • Associated Countries • 3rd Countries (INCO)

  3. About Ideal-IST Ideal-IST can help you find the right partners for your consortium in a network of 49 countries and with 10 years of experience in over 1.800 projects. Your project idea will be distributed to over 55,000 international contacts interested in ICT research under the EU’s 7th European Research Framework Programme (FP7). - If you have a project idea, you can find partners or even a coordinator. - If you want to participate as partner in FP7 you can look for open partner searches and express your interest. - You can also sign up for e-mail alerts and be informed about partner searches in your specific field of interest. This efficient network provides appropriate partners within days, with a success rate of almost 100 % in finding suitable partners and an average of 36 responses per partner search! Partner Searches are not limited to the member countries: There have also been Partner Searches launched from India, China and South Africa, reflecting the global character of this project.

  4. Why has Ideal-IST been so successful? Ideal-IST reduces the barriers faced by organisations wishing to participate in the ICT Programme by supporting a transnational partner search mechanism.Newcomers need partners or have to identify forming consortia in order to take part in ICT calls. Idealist addresses this problem by providing a proven partner search mechanism.

  5. Key elements • Ideal-IST operates with specific proposal ideas, rather than generally advertising research capability. • It is tightly supervised in that each proposed search is reviewed prior to being published by the national expert and checked for applicability and basic correctness. • It is proactive in seeking out potential partners, rather than simply storing them in a database, waiting to be discovered by a surfer. • It targets the Challenges of the ICT Priority and is call-specific. • It is supported locally by staff who can help formulate the search and ensure that searches reach the right types of organisations.

  6. Ideal-IST Consortium ICT National contact point Network of 50 Partners 27 Member States (12 NMS), 5 Western Balkan Countries 3 Newly Independent States 4 Caucasian Countries 5 Associated Countries 5 Mediterranean Countries

  7. Ideal-IST services • Higher chances to succeed the evaluation, as proposal will be quality checked and better focused on the ICT objectives. • Continuous support from the NCP Network throughout the process. • Fast way of completing your consortium, as you will receive the first replies within days - or even hours! • The service provides an average of 36 responses per Partner Search, coming from all of Europe and beyond, and from all types of organizations. • You will be able to close the Partner Search as soon as you find appropriate partners, avoiding the reception of further responses. • The success rate for finding appropriate partners is 92%. • Ideal-IST provides you a personal space to store and manage all the information related to your partner searches and the responses generated, keeping at any time your privacy.

  9. Ideal-IST Service Map Ideal-IST Service Map http://www.ideal-ist.net/ServiceMap Finding free support services for the ICT programme of FP7 Ideal-IST recently launched a new online tool for ICT clients: the Service Map – qn innovative Single Point of Entry solution which helps ICT clients around the world to find organisations and projects providing free support services for the FP7 ICT programme. The Ideal-IST Service Map allows companies and organisations wishing to participate in the ICT programme to search for specific projects, organizations and services world-wide, using the free search tool. It is also possible to select a specific country by clicking on it in the map, if a company or an organization is looking for a list of service providers offering support services in a specific country. Information on ICT opportunities (FP7, CIP, EUREKA, IMS, other national/international ICT related programmes) • Coaching/Mentoring services • Training 4. R&D Partner Search 5. Innovation Partner Search (to find appropriate business partners for developing innovative ICT based products and services) • To register your organization/project on the Service Map or for further assistance, contact dunja.swierstra@ideal-ist.net

  11. Ideal-IST Quality Label The Ideal-IST Quality Label indicatesa quality checked partner search. The Ideal-IST Quality Team checks each partner search and generates valuable feedback for the proposer that can be used to improve the whole project idea. Only Partner Searches passing this check and incorporating any required changes will receive a Quality Label. The Quality Team is a group of Ideal-IST partners, each having several years of experience in the Framework Programme. This unique feature distinguishes Ideal-IST from most other partner searches.

  12. Why ICT ? Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are critical to improve the competitiveness of European industry and to meet the demands of its society and economy. ICTs have a catalytic impact in three key areas: • productivity and innovation, by facilitating creativity and management; • modernisation of public services, such as health, education and transport; • advances in science and technology, by supporting cooperation and access to information. The FP7 ICT Work Programme 2007 defines the priorities for the calls for proposals to be launched in 2007.

  13. About FP7 and ICT European research activities are now structured around a 7-year Framework Programme. The Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) sets out the priorities, including the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) theme - for the period 2007-2013 under the specific programme “Cooperation”. The ICTs Programme (http://cordis.europa.eu/fp7/ict/), part of FP7 (http://cordis.europa.eu), is the largest of the European research, development and demonstration programmes. The ICTs Programme aims to improve the competitiveness of European industry – as well as to enable Europe to master and shape the future developments of these technologies so that thedemands of its society and economy are met. This 9 Billion Euros programme funds research into information and communications technologies, systems, applications and services through collaborative projects involving organisations from the public sector, research, academy and industry. The programme aims for improved interoperability and usability of information and communications technologies, and actions to stimulate their take-up.

An advantage of the project is high efficiency of this tool as networked information and analytical system (NIAS). GIASIP allows to remove the informational and administrative barriers for innovations realization in global scale, including European region, to optimize support policy of networked enterprises (especially in the fields of: science and technologies, technology transfer, intellectual property rights, legislation, taxation, cooperation and others ), to improve interaction between all interested (in European competitiveness increasing) parties and to increase practical advantage of scientific and technological progress. GIASIP develops new concept of highly efficient NIAC creation presented as combination of new ideas and scientific and technological beginning. To achieve stated goal following activities have to be carried out: - methodology of highly efficient NIAC development; - meaning and demand indexes subsystem development; - inquiry and offering dynamic profiles development; - information relevancy dynamic coefficients revelation; - weighting coefficients determination mechanism development; - development of subsystem for innovations values on-line frame (from minimum to maximum) estimation on the base of analysis of competitive areas in countries of innovations realization; - development of algorithm for innovations values increasing decision-making support; - methodology of knowledge (presented in network) protection development; - factor of intellectual monopolization of certain scientific and technological and design trends in certain countries development; - analytical format of information development and monitoring; - methodology of new informational standards development. Having a great experience also in the field of system-defined and conceptual intellectual property objects development and their international registration we are going to get some strong intellectual property rights for GIASIP for being made consortium.
