Today NUS has more than 30,000 students from over 100 countries. It bears a high reputation among academic fields such as engineering science, life science, biomedicine, social science and natural science, etc.

  3. NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI) National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI) is the first overseas research institute of NUS. Industry visits/talks to understand economy development of contemporary China • 3. Credit-earning Courses by NUS faculty • • Module 1 GEM1535 Clean Energy and Storage • Duration : 36 contact hours over 6 weeks • Modular Credits : 4 MCs (as in NUS curriculum) • Lecturer : Dr Nidhi Sharma (Dept of Physics, Faculty of Science, NUS) • Delivery Language : English • Assessment : 2 MCQ Tests + Essay • • Module 2 GEK1522T Global Ecology & Environmental Issues • Duration : 36 contact hours over 6 weeks • Modular Credits : 4 MCs (as in NUS curriculum) • Lecturer : Dr. Obbard, Jeffrey Philip (Dept of Civil & Environmental Engineering, NUS) • Delivery Language : English • Assessment : 2 MCQ Tests

Industry visits/talks/sharing Through classroom lectures, discussions, dialogue session and outside classroom reading / researches and industry visits, students will get the direct and comprehensive understanding of China economy. Company visits offer chances for students to learn from practice and arouse their further thinking of future career.

  9. 3. Cultural Activities Cultural lectures are delivered to facilitate students’ understanding to Chinese Culture. Outdoor exploration to places showcase Chinese history and culture.

Fees: 1 Application Fee: SGD50 (not refundable) 2 Tuition Fee: • SGD1, 650 per module (6 weeks) for students from NUS partner universities; • SGD3, 300 per module (6 weeks) for students from non-NUS partner universities. • Programme Fee: SGD400 per week Students can register for either or both modules within the 6 weeks. Programme fee includes accommodation (apartment nearby NUSRI, twin sharing), cultural and industrial visits arranged as well as related ground transfer and admission charges to place of interests. E.g. For a student (from partner U) taking 2 modules, and staying for 6 weeks: SGD50 + 1650 x 2 + 400 x 6. E.g. For a student (non-partner U) taking 1 module, and staying for 6 weeks: SGD50 + 3300 + 400 x 6. For specific details on, for example, accommodation, see: http://www.nusri.cn/edu/ How to register?
