  2. API SC 18 Product Life Cycle TG7 To form a task group (TG7) to create a life-cycle management system document for use in conjunction with products and/or standards used in the oil and gas industry. The document should provide the means of identifying the continued compliance of a product to its original and/or current manufacturing and design requirements and the ability to demonstrate product compliance to original and/or current product standards and industry/product-specific technical and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. • Cameron Quality

  7. Life Cycle Management of API Monogrammed Products Scope This API standard defines requirements for a life cycle management system for new, individual, API monogrammed products throughout their functional life cycle. Non-monogrammed API products, used products and products not included in the API monogram program are considered outside the scope of this standard. Multiple API monogrammed products used together as part of a system application may be included in the scope of this document, but only as individual, monogrammed components. • Cameron Quality

  9. Lifecycle Management of API Monogrammed Products • Application • This API standard is intended for use on individual API monogrammed products, produced in accordance with applicable API standards under an API approved quality management system and monogrammed by a licensed API supplier. It is intended for use on new, individual, unused API monogrammed products that have clear traceability to their original product definition (OPD) and current design status. This standard is not intended for use on used products or new products not bearing the API monogram, but may act as a guideline for applications outside of the API product monogram program. • Cameron Quality

  10. Lifecycle Management of API Monogrammed Products • Responsibilities The original product manufacturer of the individual API monogrammed product is responsible for compliance and monogramming the product in accordance with the appropriate API standard and the requirements of API Q1: Specification for Quality Programs for the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industry and the requirements of the manufacturer’s API monogram license agreement. The original product manufacturer is also responsible for the definition and maintenance of the original product definition (OPD) and the resulting product design status, when required by this standard. The product owner/operator is responsible for the approval of the life cycle management plan, developed by the product owner/operator or the life cycle management service provider (LCMSP), including: product status verification and traceability, field configuration assessment and service conditions, maintenance and service procedures, field inspection and test procedures, field repair procedures, design status assessment and disposition, usage and performance history evaluation, shop repair and remanufacture procedures, and decommissioning procedures and results. The user/operator or the LCMSP as appropriate is responsible for maintenance of records of all activities associated with this standard for 5 years after documented decommissioning. • Cameron Quality
