The 7th Federation of African University Games (FASU) 2014 has officially launched at the University of Nairobi’s Chancellor’s Court. Bringing together 16 African countries, these prestigious games feature competitions in various sports, including soccer, basketball, handball, and athletics. The event, scheduled from July 11-18, 2014, at UON grounds and Kasarani Stadium, aims to enhance Kenya's reputation as a sporting and tourist destination in Africa. The successful execution of these games will rely on financial and political goodwill.

FASU 2014 LAUNCH The 7th Federation of African University Games (FASU) 2014 has been officially launched. The launching was done at the University of Nairobi’s Chancellor’s Court early this morning. These prestigious games brings together 16 African Countries whose Universities compete in Soccer, Basketball, Handball, Badminton, Volleyball, Rugby, Hockey, Tennis, Sitting Volleyball, American Football, Track and Field events and swimming. These games are of enormous magnitude and require financial and political goodwill that will project Kenya as a pillar of sports in Africa. Kenya is a strong and highly respected sporting and tourist Nation in Africa. We need to tap into these components to stage remarkable games in Kenya in order to enhance and stamp our reputation on the continent. The University of Nairobi warmly welcomes the invited guests to this event that is scheduled to run from 11th -18th July 2014 at UON grounds and Kasarani Stadium.
