  1. XP714 – BT dependence of high-k fluctuations D. R. Smith, S. Kaye, W. Lee,E. Mazzucato and H. K. Park PPPL NSTX Physics Meeting April 9, 2007

  2. XP714 Objective • XP532 (Kaye): Confinement improved at higher BT due to improved electron transport • XP714: Repeat BT scan of XP532 and measure high-k fluctuations at multiple radii

  3. Pre-Experiment Ray Tracing Analysis r/a ~ 0.25 k┴ ~ 6.9, 10.7,14.2 cm-1 k┴re ~ 0.19, 0.29,0.39 r/a ~ 0.75 k┴ ~ 6.4, 9.3 cm-1 k┴re ~ 0.15, 0.22

  4. Shot Matrix All shots: 1232xx

  5. Preliminary Data k┴ ~ 14 cm-1 & k┴re ~ 0.4 At r/a ~ 0.25, fluctuations drop at higher BT

  6. Preliminary Data k┴ ~ 9 cm-1 & k┴re ~ 0.2 At r/a ~ 0.75, fluctuations increase at higher BT

  7. Preliminary Data Saturation in low-k channel for r/a ~ 0.5
