  2. Description • Date: TBD September 17, 24th, 10th • Location: Landings at Spirit Golf Course • Time: 1:00pm (Registration) First tee: 1:30 • Deposit Required: $500 • Cost: $50/person • 4 person team $200 (covers golf and carts)

Fundraising Opportunities - Sponsorships • Sponsorships: • Bronze $50 – 1 small tee sign or 1 small green sign • Silver $100 – 1 large tee sign or 1 large green sign • Gold $500 – 1 large tee sign and 1 small green sign • Platinum $1000 – 1 large tee sign and 1 green flag • This is the biggest money maker • Make sure we are clear on GRUC purpose/Message

  6. Fundraising Opportunities – Ancillary Free Contests • Closest to the pin (m/w) - par 3 (all par 3) • Longest drive (m/w) - par 5 • Longest putt for all • On your honor or proxy sign • We have to decide on how many prizes

Fundraising Opportunities – Ancillary Cost Contests • Mulligan - do over ($20 team /$5 each) purchase at registration • 72X$5=$360 or $720 (max 2) in mulligan sales • Putting green (hole 19 or 20) - could be free or $5/person • On putting course only (don't turn anyone away) • Could do this prior to play 2 tries with prize • Vegas hole (hole #17 – 150 yards) $5 • $5 doubles to $10 (double down) • If ball lands on green (double your money) • Tiger Woods hole (hole #2) $20 • Place your ball at 145 yards • Break the glass - $5 for 3 and $1 after that • Driving range • Put a glass on the spot with blanket • Who can break the glass • Raffle 50/50 raffle ( you win keep half the pot/house keeps half the pot)

  8. Fundraising Opportunities – Silent Auction • Course manager recommends we do this. • Place table of prizes at registration • Place table at one of the holes • Can make $500 to $1000 • Get donated prizes • Get stuff on consignment (we keep half/give them half)

  9. Main Volunteers/Leaders • 1 Person to recruit team captains (Michele/Chris/Beverly) • Organize signups and registration • Get a deposit from the Team Captains for Team • 1 Person to spearhead sale of sponsorships (Betty/Cindy/Paula) • Get signs done and make sure they are positioned • 1 Person to spearhead Ancillary Contests (Bernie/George) • Gather all material and volunteers to support • 1 Person to coordinate and manage all volunteers/event (Vince/Jonah) • 1 Person to organize and manage Silent Auction

Other Event Volunteers • Don't want too many or too few • Vegas hole 4-5 hours (may need two) • Volunteer on station that is a good sales rep. • 1 Volunteer for “Who can break the glass” • Volunteer for registration • Mullingans and Putting Green can be same person • 1 Person to skins (18 separate chances (lowest score on a hole) $20 a team

  12. Next Steps: • Identify Volunteers from GRUC Board • Develop Project Plan • Consider • Marketing Plan • Pre-Registration (How will this be done (by mail?)) • Elevator speech and materials to secure sponsorship (advanced payment best) • Draft contract with Spirit
