Create Anatomically Realistic Finite Element Voxel-Based Models from Visible Human Data to Simulate Function • Input physically realistic tissue models for bone, muscle and tendon to simulate motion by having muscle actively contract and move bones • Prototype these muscle bone models for two initial applications • a) Mandibular motion to simulate chewing • b) Breathing with diaphragm muscles • Package resulting simulation data so that it may be served over the net for navigation using Edgewarp software Modeling and Simulation Goals for UM NGI VH Project PSC’s Biomedical Initiative - An NIH Resource Center
