  3. How to find a full text journal article from a reference NORA contains electronic journals The Library catalogue contains electronic and print journals You will not always know if the journal you need is print or electronic so you might need to try both searches to locate what you need.

  4. Journals Journals are published on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.) Contain articles written by various authors. Journals are more quickly published than books and so the information is more up to date and cutting edge

  6. Finding electronic journals Log onto NORA with your computer username and password

  7. Click on Find E-Journals by Title

  8. Type in the journal title e.g. Journal of Vocational Education and Training then click Search

  9. Check the dates to see if the collection listed has the year required then click on the journal collection link e.g. Swets Online Content

  10. Select the year you require, then click on the relevant volume and issue.

  11. Scroll through the list of articles and select the matching article title. (You may have to go to the next page to find the article you need)

  12. Click on abstract to read the abstract.Click on the Full Text link to go straight to the article.

  13. Print or save the article using the buttons on the PDF toolbar.

  14. Searching for print journals and electronic journals on the Library Catalogue Type the title of the journal into the box and click on Search. On the results screen, restrict your search to journals only by selecting Journal Catalogue under Collection. Click on the journal title for location and holdings information.
