  5. The Harker Plan • Levels of Support To achieve the above use the following keywords in your answer… • Strongly agrees • Strongly disagrees • Strongly supports • Barely supports

  6. Structure - 1 • 1) A v. B&C – state the major difference between the sources with evidence (possibly a quotation). E.g. Source A says… However, this is contradicted by Sources B and C which say… This is shown by Source A in the following quotation / in the picture… Source B does not support this, as shown by the following quotation/in the picture…

  7. Structure - 2 • 2) A v. B or C – go into detail about one or two aspects of difference. Use the keywords here. E.g. Source A KEYWORD with Source B/C about… Source A also KEYWORD with Source B/C about…

  8. Structure - 3 • 3) B v. C – Optional, you can go into some detail here if you can see an obvious disagreement. E.g. However, Source B does not fully support Source C because of…

  10. The Eastham Pact • You must say how useful the sources are. • You must include both NOP + Content. • You must give the limitations of the sources.

  13. Operation Bostwick Common mistakes… • Timing - leave enough time for question 4 as there are the most marks for it ! • SOK – you must use as many of the sources as you can and also include your own knowledge. • Do not go source by source - plan in 3 or 4 themed sections.

  14. Things to do… • Disagree with the question. • Plan briefly so that examiner can see your intentions, should you run out of time. • State your argument at the end of each section. • Add a conclusion that supports your argument.
