Temperate Deciduas ForestGeography & Climate • Locations: East United States, Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and parts of Russia. • Description: Broken up into five zones. • Soil Type: Rich soil. • Precipitation: 30 - 60 inches of rain each year. • Temp. Range: 50 - 70 degrees. • Climate: summers are mild winters are bellow freezing.

  3. Temperate Deciduas ForestBiodiversity • Plant Species: Douglas Fur, Western Red Cedar, and Spruce. • Animal Species: Black Bear, Cougar, Bobcat, Spotted Owl, Marbled Murrelet, Salamanders. • Ten animal species total have been identified.

  4. Temperate Deciduas ForestAdaptations Needed for Survival • Plants: Warm temp. and the wet weather helps plant growth. • Animals: The wet moist environment helps most amphibians survive.

  5. Temparate Deciduas ForestInteractions of Biotic and Abiotic • Biotic: Quite a bit of biodiversity, lots of trees and animals. • Abiotic: Temp. in fall makes Chlorophyll, lots of soil, rocks, and water.
