  1. Homeopathy to Quit Smoking

  2. Homeopathy to Quit Smoking For many, smoking is a compulsive habit that they cannot get out of. Someone once said that “to quit smoking is easy. I have done it numerous times.” Even though there is a lot of literature and campaigns on the media regarding the ill effects of smoking, it has little effect on smokers as it is highly addictive and it is very difficult for them to quit. Homeopathy clinics in Hyderabad offer deaddiction therapies for smoking. According to statistics released by the health ministry, it there was a consumption of 93.2 billion cigarettes in the year 2014-15. Even though that was lower than the consumption in the year 2013-14, there was a significant increase in the number of women smokers. The ill effects of smoking are being advertised on all media, but there is little being done to curb it totally as it involves crores of revenue in the form of taxes. Graphic representations of cancers of the throat, and the lungs are being portrayed on the cigarette packets, but this only works partially. There is a very good reason for that. Cigarette smoke contains nicotine and many other chemicals that are highly addictive. Once a person gets nicotine dependent, it would be highly difficult for him/her to get out of that. The body craves for more as the tolerance of nicotine increases and this becomes as vicious cycle of downward spiral

  3. Many nonsmokers think that smokers have a weak state of mind and that they cannot quit the habit due to the weak mind. There might be something in that, but the overwhelming control that nicotine has on the body is not understood by nonsmokers. Once a person gets addicted to the high of nicotine, it becomes very difficult as there is no time trigger to cigarette in the sense that a smoker gets the urge to smoke even in the morning and in the dead of the night. Quitting smoking is as difficult as quitting any addictive substance and it needs an understanding of the body and the psyche of the smoker to address the issue. It might be surprising to note that tobacco is used as a medicine in homeopathy. It is used for certain conditions like dizziness, motion sickness, and many others.
