Certification Table-Now On-line!!! • County Assessor & Appraiser Certifications Table: http://www.dor.state.nc.us/publications/property.html • Name, CE hours, appraiser type-RP or PP, Acting, Eligible, Certified Assessors,Suspensions • Updated periodically-see date for latest refreshment • On Publications page under “Education” section • Don’t mess with the table!

  5. Think Outside The Box “On-line Classes” • Approval required prior to credit given • Submit request to Dave via email • Master list shows “O/L” for on-line classes • Affordable and allows time management

  6. Program Business Practices • No annual county staff roster lists will be mailed • All changes to the website table go to Dave • More efficient: less paper, fewer mailings, time savings

Developing Some New Features • Standardized appraiser certification request document from assessors • Standardized class attendance document for NCDOR hosted classes • COMING SOON!!! • Assessor Certification Application-check off list of items to submit: Certificates, Oath of Office, & Minutes from installment as assessor

Current Review of Files • Conducted a file by file review • Students should keep a copy of their certificates • Verify CE hours on website are correct • Our internal database has good information • Movement into the “Inactive Status” section • Tracking of 2 year probation periods for acting assessors

  9. Suspension Letters • We issued suspension letters as of July 1, 2011 • The assessor gets an email notification of suspension of their non-compliant appraisers • Student must make up deficient hours • No extra hours transfer to the current cycle • Example • Suspension now noted on website table
