  1. ANZAC By Dane Loots

  2. What did Anzacs eat? Anzac soldiers ate bully beef, biscuits, bread, fruit cake and tea.

  3. Was Gallipoli a successful battle? Gallipoli was not a successful battle because the Anzacs were ambushed. After 8 months the Anzacs devised a clever plan to evacuate. Thousands of men died, many more were injured.

  4. How many men signed up for battle in the first 5 days? In Sydney alone 10 thousand men signed up within the first 5 days. The men thought it would be a fun adventure. They were very wrong.

  5. Did The Anzacs have to do a test to become a soldier? Yes the Anzacs did. If their chest wasn’t wide enough , or if they weren’t tall enough, the could not go to war. They also had to be a certain weight. The reason for these tests was that if they did not have enough food the scrawny men would die, so they wanted big strong men.
