3. MISSION STATEMENT He Cares is a Coptic Christian outreach organization dedicated to serve the impoverished, sick, disabled, and those in need. Our mission is to provide the means for them to support themselves rather than offering direct financial assistance.

4. PARTNERSHIP WITH ANBA KARAS He Cares is currently partnered with the AnbaKaras Mission to assist the impoverished of Upper Egypt. The AnbaKaras Organization is currently providing assistance to approximately 3,000 people annually.

5. SERVICES • Home Construction and Housing. • Medical Assistance - basic medical exams, prescription drugs, lab work, CAT Scans, MRI’s, etc. • Food Service - fully prepared weekly meals and food supplies. • Educational Assistance - books, writing implements, tutoring, etc. • Marriage Preparation - furniture, carpets, kitchen supplies, gowns, etc. • Services for Prisoners – meals provided and legal defense for the falsely accused. • Holiday Service – sugar and tea are supplied, plus chicken or meat per family per holiday.

6. PROJECTS • Business Development • Livestock Program – livestock provided; recipients generate income through breeding and sale. • Deep Freezer Program– freezer provided with food products. The products are sold to generate income. • Steam Iron Program – steam iron provided; recipients generate income through labor. • Motorized Tricycle Program – motorbike provided; recipients generate income through labor. • Employment • Job creation in the form of custodial services for homes and small businesses. Cash is never given directly to families or individuals. It is diverted exclusively towards services and business start-ups.

9. WHAT WE CAN DO Carry Out His Word “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?  Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.  You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?” - James 2:14-22

11. CLOSING COMMENTS • There are no overhead costs subtracted from monetary donations. One hundred percent of each dollar donated goes towards the benefit of the underprivileged • Part of He Cares’ goal is to instill service as a way of life in our youth and to help all of us develop a renewed sense of appreciation for what we have. • The vision for He Cares is to begin a similar service here in the US and to eventually partner with other Christian-based organizations.
