  12. Literacy • Lesson Study • Grades 1-3 will give Running Records to all students • Training for 3rd grade will take place in our September vertical meeting • Purpose: Data from LS’s willdrive our small group work because of "ramped up" expectations with the Common Core.

  15. CD Focus for 2012-2013 •Working as a community of professional learners to enhance student achievement - Collaborative Teamwork Focus on 3 questions 1)What do we want each student to learn? (Common Core Standards) 2)How will we know what students have learned? (state, school, and classroom formative/summative assessments) 3)How will we respond to students who are not learning? (Share strategies, lessons, and activities and apply school/classroom intervention) * Team discussions will focus on items that directly impact student learning of Common Core Standards.

School Growth • SMART Goal (assessments and analysis) • RtI - Intervention time for students (research based interventions in reading and math eventually)

RtI Process •Meeting with grade levels every 6-7 weeks (use rotating subs) – Building RtI (longer to identify further diagnostic assessment and action plan which includes intervention) • Continue GL RtI meetings (shorter to identify student and BEGIN the discussion or for updates –RtI meetings focused on interventions for students struggling behaviorally and/or academically –Focus on 20th% or below – Strategic or Intensive levels –Teams should notify Karenof student concerns before grade level RtI Meeting
