  1. I2E Innovate to Elevate

  2. Jealinda Chief Executive Officer Matthew Chief Financial Officer Maher Lead Graphics Designer Michael Head Engineer Jarrod Chief Operating Officer I2E Management Team Jealinda

  3. Our company, Innovate 2 Elevate, is developing solutions that alleviate the challenges of water leaks and management through automation. • We are striving to provide a useful service that fits the consumers’ needs to save money and cut down on water wastage. We will provide people with easily accessible control over their water usage while keeping them informed of the water they consume. Company Background Jealinda

  4. Our objective is to create a product, software, and phone notification system combined for simple monitoring and control of water usage, and early detections of malfunctions in water lines. • Our company will provide a valuable product to our customers to save them money while protecting businesses from water damage and overly priced plumbing expenses. Company Objectives Jealinda, Maher

  5. Automated Plumbing System is an efficient collaboration of multiple sensor units working under the guidance of the PIC microcontroller commanded by .NET enabled PC which is programmed to control, allocate, manage and properly harness the water sources of a industrial consumer/construction contractors • Our product automates the plumbing units in commercial properties such as: hotels, hospitals, apartments and schools. • Monitors and tracks the usage of water resources, alerts the user about leaks, and gives users remote control over their water units with the aid of their browser-enabled device. Automated Plumbing System Jarrod

  6. No other like the Automated Plumbing System • The History of water leakage and its advancement has advanced significantly. • Leak detection has increased technologically. • The Innovation of detecting leaks and reading them using software is what addresses the objective of our company. • We differ by using hardware and software to detect water using graphs, sensors and micro-controllers. Innovation aspect of system Jarrod

  7. We are adding the accessibility, control, and viable information for consumers along with providing an accurate direction for plumbers to locate sources of damage. • Ultimately we would save time, efforts, and unnecessary actions that could have been problematic through the diagnostic process Viability of success Maher

  15. WiFi Router Matthew

  16. LM35 Temperature Sensor: $0.56 • Honeywell TS33F Humidity Sensor: $20 • MPX Pressure Sensor: $6.32 (per outlet) • PH Sensor: $60 (one per full system) • Stepper Motor: $19 • Butterfly Valve: $80-$140 (dependent on pipe size) • TP-Link Router: $6 • Total hardware costs: $130-$190 + 1 PH Sensor Hardware Expenses Matthew

  17. Hardware • Pressure difference between two pressure sensors without water flow • Signal sent to alert system • Alert system notifies user through application • User can send signal to remotely close valve • Valve closes and stops water from running to problem area • User can call plumber to fix specific damaged area Michael

  18. Operation • Devices involved: PC with .NET or MS eBOX, PIC or GHI with ARM, wired or Wi-Fi chips and drivers, converters and miscellaneous components. • Sensors Used: Temperature sensor, Humidity sensor, pH sensor, Pressure sensor, Custom made water sensor/flow meter. • Mechanical Components: Customized faucets, gears and miscellaneous. Jarrod

  19. How it Works Automated Plumbing System is an efficient collaboration of multiple sensor units working under the guidance of the PIC microcontroller commanded by .NET enabled PC which is programmed to control, allocate, manage and properly harness the water resources of a industrial consumer/construction contractor. Jarrod

  20. How It Works The user is able to access web services hosted by our application through the browser. We maintain a structure file with the administrator we maintain the state of each device. True if it is currently on, false if it is off. The method to store structure in the file will be depicted in the implementation phase. Jarrod

  21. Software Functionality The Flowmetry reads analog values from PIC, then compute flow time by using Bernoulli’s equation to do volumetric analysis. This application reads a recorded wave file, reads the bits per sample, quantizes it and samples it on the control window. The threshold being set is used to detect peak intrusions. Jarrod

  22. The user able to access web services hosted by our application through the browser. XML web service is unit of code that can be invoked via HTTP request. We maintain a structure file with the administrator we maintain the state of each device. Read sensor values asynchronously from PIC. The sensor values are stored into the database, which contacts the Flowmetry to gauge the usage. It gauges leak and levels by computing height from pressure. Alert System Jarrod

  23. The availability of our software can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection • Customers will receive prompt updates about their water consumption via text • Website will be accessible and user will be able to create a user name and password to activate their account. Global Integration Jealinda/ Maher

  24. Water damage rates can vary depending on incident. • Repairs can range from $1,500-$70,000. • Areas where pipe freeze are more prone to bursting and plumbing incidents. • One family had a pipe burst while on vacation and caused $200,000 of damage and had to vacate their home for 6 months. Cost of Water Damage Maher

  25. Spending per 200 rooms on water damage and water wastage per year is up to $30,000 in hotels • The System can save the average hotel $10,000 - $20,000 every year • These savings pay for the cost of the system in as little as two years, while saving effort and being environmentally friendly . Prediction of Savings Maher

  26. For a system with 100 units and 4 faucets per unit, the cost is between $16,000 and $22,000 depending on pipe sizes. • We will be marketing the system for $22,000 to $28,000 per 100 units. • Most clients will be in the 200-300 unit range. Cost (per unit) Matthew

  27. Less than 1% of all the water on Earth can be used by people. • 100 leaky faucets waste three and a half thousand gallons a year • In comparison to the benefits of Solar Panels the Automated Plumbing System will be fully functional for the entire fiscal year. Environmental Aspects Jealinda

  28. Large businesses, universities, and apartment complexes. We chose these multiuse buildings because our product will be most beneficial to those consumers. The System would be even easier to implement in structures still being built. Target Audience Jealinda

  29. Holiday Inn Express in Van Nuys • 132 rooms to be outfitted for $35,600 • Our costs will be approximately $25,000 netting us almost $11,000 Marketing to Hotels Matthew/ Jealinda

  30. Environmental impact is at the forefront of our customers minds. • UC Berkley will need more than 900 units installed. • Our expenses will be approximately $171,000 and we will net $57,000 Environmental Marketing Jealinda/ Matthew

  31. Components and installation • Alert Application • App Servers and maintenance • Customer support and Management • Marketing • Facilities Total costs for starting up Matthew

  32. We’re looking for an investment from sponsors inspired to innovate and protect our water resources with a cutting edge system and design. Opportunity of investment Jealinda

  33. With these projects lined up our company is ready to begin production, and with a $200,000 investment from you we can go forward • Our projected sales show that you can make this 40% investment back in 3 years Return on Investment Matthew
