This wealth created by individuals who assume the major risks in terms of equity, time, and/or career commitment of providing value for some product or service. They took the plunge straight after their MBA [passing out from ABV-IIITM Gwalior] or after working barely a couple of years. And they persevered until they made it big! • These entrepreneurs did not plan to take this path but when opportunity knocked they seized it. Case Study – I: Advantal Services • The main Business area of Advantal Services is to build complex mobile applications for platforms such as Symbian, Windows Mobile & the iPhone. • These 2 co-founders had started their Business with just Rs.5,000 in Cash & 2 Laptops. They have started this Business from home only. Yes, the start up of this Business was Home-Based. Both of them have shared a flat, of which one room was converted into an office. Both of them are graduates from The Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior. • The Company was founded in July-2008, in Gurgaon and that’s the middle of the recession. And both of the co-founders are claiming that they have already clocked US $ 50,000 (Rs.25 Lakhs) in Revenues and a full order book for next 6 months.665 • Advantal has recently collaborated with Israel Government

Case Study – II: CEON Solutions • CEON Solutions is the brainchild of 3 students from Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior who believed in creating everything out of nothing. Mr. Abhay Panjiyar, who heads the venture, developed an analytical problem solving software for schools. The software was so innovative that it won 5 national Open software contests at various IITs (Indian Institute of Technology). • The team went on to win Gold Medal in Anveshan II (IIM-A), a Nationwide Business Plan contest. The team also won International recognition and was invited in the final of International Business Plan contest in USA. • CEON Solutions Pvt. Ltd is supported by CII at IIM-A and CEON is proud to have its operation from IIM-A campus.

Vidya, Bharat Jain Started as a Btech Project for Speech Recognition. • The project won numerous Open Software and Paper Presentation Contest. • The team was featured in Times of India. • This was further developed as Masters thesis. Voice Info now stands as a new starter providing Voice Recognition.

  26. Case Study – VI:File Tracking System/SORS File Tracking System was developed by a set of pre-final year students. The Software was deployed at Central Narcotics Department Gwalior. This has won award for excellence by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in the area of e-Governance Students Online Registration System is a student made software to automate the Academic Registration System of the Institute. The project was put under pilot run in the previous semester and main run in the current semester.
