  3. I.- Previous and Diagnosis • The begineer of this works in Chihuahua Capital was CARLOS DIAZ INFANTE, S.J. Misioner in the Tarahumara for more than 30 years. • In Chihuahua Capital was detected comunities of natives living with the most poor and bad conditions of living, worst than their origin places in the mountains. • He began with the construction of 2 villages: El Pájaro Azul (40 families) y Tamborell (20 families).

Previous and Diagnosis • In July of 2002, month of his dead, the third villeage was started, this one has his name on it and start with 35 families living there since 2006. • Actualy there are 1000 Tarahumaras families, (5000 people aprox.) in more than 100 irregular assestments, in Chihuahua city, nonhealthy and with a high level of bad living conditions and with a lack of opportunities for human development.

II.- Actual Situation • Reingenieering of the actual concept of a assestment and comunity living. • MISSION: Dignify the way of life of the natives Tarahumares indians in the cities to improve their living conditions with development in their traditions, costumes values and better opportunities.

  6. DEVELOPMENT MODEL: “Provide local tools to guarantee the human development in site. • Government and administration by themselves. • Contract and Rules by loan agreement. (*) • Integral Development Plan: • Dignity homes • Feeding • Health • Dignity work (Municipal temporary workers plan) • Education • Sports • Culture • Spiritual Development. • Productive Proyects • Educational Proyect : “Elementary -Junior and High School / UACH University”

  7. (*) Contract and Rules by loan agreement. (*)(Agreeded by the Comunity) • All adults to work. • All youngs and children to School. • No to alcohol or drugs. • No to Kórima in the streets. (beging) • No to violence or family abuse. • All to comunity work. • Everybody to pay their services • Everybody responsible of site and home maintenance.

  8. Tools • Compromised people with the project PRIMER SUPPORT TO SUCCED • Civil Association (Patronat) – The commitment is to guarantee conditions and success of the project in long term. • Objective: Sustentability and Autonomy at short, medium and long term.

The “Asentamiento Tarahumar Carlos Díaz Infante, SJ.” is the result of the teamwork of private enterprises, governments organizations and compromised people with a new model of human development according with the traditions and needs of the native Tarahumares indians in the cities, looking for their development and dignify their lifes, and better opportunities. RESULTS …

  14. It is a clean and nice place to full children developement. A healty and clean space to play and keep safety away from drugs.

  16. The Comunity Center is the space where the neighbors has their meetings to work and share.

  17. The raramuris normally use to be numerous families, the houses are well provided with the equipment and comodities to have a dignity life. • The house have: • BOILER . • FRIGIDATOR. • HEATER AND OVEN. • VENTILATOR. • 1 BATH ROOOM . • 2 DOUBLE BEDS.

  18. III.- Proposal III.1.- Short Term: • 67 New homes in a Asesstment • Rebuilt and Regularizacion of Assestment “Pájaro Azul” III.2.- Medium Term: • 12 Assestments of 70 familias each • 2 per year • Participation together of : • Governments, • Private initiative, • Organizations, • Patronat
