  1. Abstract The VAO Data Discovery Tool is a web-based application for discovering data from thousands of astronomical collections and archives around the world. Using protocols defined by the International Virtual Observatory Alliance (IVOA), the Data Discovery Tool can search those widely distributed resources and present the results in a single unified web page. Search VO resources by entering object name or position. Discovering Data in the Virtual Observatory AstroView provides all-sky browsing, visualization and selection of search results. Data discovered through the tool can be downloaded or broadcast directly to VO-enabled applications. Search results contain images, catalogs and spectra from a wide variety of VO resources.
