Golden Goose • From the story of the Golden Goose we could conclude the reasoning for the Goose to lay GOLDEN eggs to be numerous. • From this analogy, in your groups come up with a scenario showing what relationship you can build upon by action of a role play in class to improve on to attain productivity or personal well being

  5. The Emotional Bank Account • Deposits • Courtesy • Kindness • Honesty • Commitments • Withdrawal • Discourtesy • Disrespect • Interrupting • Over-reacting • Ignoring • Betraying trust • Threatening

The Emotional Bank Account • Be very careful of what you say! • Marriage • High School Friend • Teenager told to clean the room, Vacuum all the time! • Need Positive balance –deposits i.e. (Dinky Toy out of the blue by being spontaneous or offering to help with homework) • It takes a great many deposits to cover 1 withdrawal • After all we are all independent and we all have different views of what we believe is true

  13. Showing Personal Integrity • Personal Integrity generates trust • Honesty is telling the truth • Integrity is keeping promises and fulfilling expectations • Provide some examples if integrity or lack off?

  14. Apologizing Sincerely when you make a withdrawal • I was wrong • That was unkind of me • I showed you no respect • I gave you no dignity • I apologize • If you apologize to make a decent deposit you need to be “sincere” • Covey’s son banging on bathroom door!
