HOPE: • 1 Thess 5:8-11 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith & love, & as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 ForGod has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore encourage one another….

SALVATION: • Eph 2:8 - For by grace you havebeen saved through faith; & that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 1 Cor 1:18 - For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who arebeing saved it is the power of God. Rom 5:9 - Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shallbe saved from the wrath of God through Him.

  4. Prayer of Hope • “Our Father Who Is In Heaven” • He is “inheaven” (Isa 6:1; Rev 4:3) • He is our “Father”, “AbbaFather” (Gal 4:6) • His children seek “good things” (Matt 7:11-12)

  5. Prayer of Hope • “Hallowed Be Your Name” • He is holy (Isa 6:1; Rev 4:3) • His children are like Him (1 Pet 1:15-16) • He gave His children that right (John 1:12-13)

  6. Prayer of Hope • “Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done” • His kingdom HAS come (Luke 17:20-21; Mark 9:1; Col 1:13-14; Rev 17:14; 19:16) • His will IS done (Luke 8:11; Heb 12:28) • His children commune with Him (Matt 26:27-29; Rev 11:15)

  7. Prayer of Hope • “Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread” • His gifts come every day • His children thank Him every day

  8. Prayer of Hope • “Forgive Us Our Debts, As We Also Have Forgiven Our Debtors” • Explanation (Matt 6:14-15) • Doing what God had done for us (Matt 18:23-25)

  9. Prayer of Hope • “Do Not Lead Us Not Into Temptation, But Deliver Us From Evil” • A Father guides/protects (Luke 22:31; 2 Pet 2:9) • His children seek His shelter (2 Tim 2:19)

  10. Prayer of Hope • “For Yours Is The Kingdom, Power & Glory Forever” • Jesus ended His prayer with praise (Psa 145:3) • Jesus said “amen” in confident HOPE

Do You Have Hope? • Believe the gospel of Christ John 8:24; 20:30-31; Rom 1:16; 10:10 • Repent or turn from your sins Luke 24:46-47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30-31 • Confess your faith in Christ Matt 10:32-33; Rom 10:9-10 • Be immersed in water Matt 28:19; Mk 16:16; Acts 2:38; Rom 6:3-4; 1 Pet 3:21 • Live in obedient faith 1 Peter 1:14; Rev 2:10
