3. Our Respective Missions We are the Environment Agency. We protect and improve the environment and make it a better place for people and wildlife. The OFT's mission is to make markets work well for consumers. When consumers have choice they have genuine and enduring power. The Food Standards Agency has a statutory objective to protect public health and consumers' other interests in relation to food and drink.
