On September 13, 2011, Rob Robinson, Assistant Vice Provost, presented crucial updates regarding the integration of Blackboard with Banner at the University Assembly. This integration aims to automate course shell creation, streamline the grading process, and ensure a single student identity through MY UTSA ID. As Blackboard CE8 approaches its end of life in January 2013, a Faculty Task Force is evaluating potential replacement systems, including Blackboard Learn, Desire2Learn, and Instructure Canvas. Additionally, the new Instructional Technology Lab will open in Spring 2012 to support faculty training.
