  3. General introduction Music has changed quite a lot since 1948; although we still listen to the music we had then. Some people refuse to listen to modern music, whilst some people refuse to listen to the older music. On this PowerPoint you can find out about more music.

  4. About the 1990’s In the 1990’s pop music became popular and most house holds had a CD player and pop music CD’s. This is when Blur, Oasis etc came out. At the beginning of the 1990’s there were a total of 17top chart hit.

  5. Elvis Presley Elvis Aaron Presley was born on the January 8th 1935 and died on the 16th August 1977 because of drugs overdose. On July 18, 1953, Presley went to Sun Records' Memphis Recording Service to record "My Happiness" with "That's When Your Heartaches Begin", supposedly a present for his mother. During his initial introduction at Sun Records, assistant Marion Keisker asked him who he sounded like. Presley replied: "I don't sound like nobody.” At the same time, Sun Records boss Sam Phillips was on the lookout for someone who could deliver a blend of black blues and boogie-woogie music; he thought it would be very popular among white people. When Phillips acquired a demo recording of "Without Love (There Is Nothing)" and was unable to identify the vocalist, Keisker reminded him about the young truck driver. She called him on June 26, 1954. Presley was not able to do justice to the song (though he would record it years later). Phillips would later recall that "Elvis was probably as nervous as anybody, black or white, that I had seen in front of a microphone. Despite this, Phillips invited local musicians Winfield "Scotty" Moore and Bill Black to audition Presley. Though they were not overly impressed, a studio session was planned. He was the starter of rock music. The true hero.

  6. The Beatles The Beatles were a pop and rock band. There were 4 men who made up the amazing group. They were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, all from Liverpool. They have been active twice, first from 1960 to 1970 and then 1994 to 1995. They loved doing rock and roll music although they were good at doing other sorts. Unfortunately, John Lennon got shot and died in 1995. John Lennon Paul McCartney George Harrison Ringo Starr

  7. About music today Today nearly everyone has CD’s, MP3 Player, MP4 Player, Ipod or apple Ipod. We just can’t resisted listening to music. What would we do without music. Who knows? Ipod

  8. Comparing them all So all together we have had amazing music time . But the question is . Will it carry on? Or will it go to pot?
