  4. PROJECT SITES • CAPE VERDE: a group of ten islands lying 629 km off the west coast of Africa. • ILHA DE MOÇAMBIQUE: an island off the east cost of Africa

  5. ILHA DE MOÇAMBIQUE One of the mostimportantareas for historical shipwrecks along the East African coast. Over14historical shipwrecks confirmed by historical research.

  13. SCIENTIFIC DOCUMENTATION • The final Scientific Publication is being completed on the IDM-002 wreck as excavation is finalized to 90%. • The Scientific Publication is scheduled for summer 2003. • Based on first valuations of the artefacts recovered, excellent results can be expected.
