  3. Types of muscles • Voluntary • You make the muscle move • Skeletal • The muscles appears • Striated or striped • Involuntary • You have little to no control over the muscle • Smooth- non striated • and cardiac-striated

  4. Smooth muscle • Found in intestines, bladder, blood vessels, and other internal organs • Involuntary • Non-striated

  5. Cardiac • Only found in the heart • Striated like skeletal muscle • However, it is involuntary-you have no control over it

  6. Skeletal • Striated • Voluntary • Most common type found in your body

  7. Muscles • Muscles work in pairs. • They are called extensors and flexors. • When the extensor contracts the flexor relaxes and when extensor relaxes than the flexor contracts.
