Project Description: • Development of regional conferences • Initiation of ongoing training, consultation, and technical assistance in HIV, STD and family planning settings and related programs • Cross-center recruitment of training faculty • Joint planning, ongoing collaboration, and pooling of training resources

Resulting Collaborations Kick off – Baltimore, November 28, 2006: CDCs’s New HIV Testing Recommendations and Rapid Testing: Implications in Your Health Care Setting District of Columbia – Ongoing Philadelphia – Ongoing Delaware – Ongoing Maryland – Ongoing Pennsylvania – Ongoing Virginia – Ongoing West Virginia – Ongoing

  4. Outcomes • Establishment of HIV testing in relevant settings • Enhancement of joint training teams • Adoption of HIV testing in new settings • Reduction of cost

  5. Lessons Learned • Regular communication and collaboration is essential. • Development of a written strategic plan is critical. • Establishment of priorities of targets for training assists in long range planning.
