  2. Where France is located • The country France is located in Europe. Its capital is Paris.

  3. Geographic Features of France The Loire river is the longest river in France. Another river in France is in northeastern France it is called the Aisne river. A mountain range in France is called Pyrenees. The Alps is the largest mountain range in France.

  4. Climate of France In France the climate is mostly they have a cool rainy climate with cold winters and mild hot summers. The mountainous regions of France usually get more precipitation throughout the year.

  5. France’s Environment • Some of the important animals in France are squirrels, wild bears, crab, and lobster. Some of the important plants of France is barley and wheat.

  7. Customs and Traditions There are 11 holidays in France representing religious, national, and, historic reasons for celebration. One of these holidays are Paques(Easter, a Monday in March or April).

  8. Government of France Frances national government has 3 branches. There are (1) an executive branch headed by president and prime minister, (2) legislative branch consisting of a two-chamber Parliament, and (3) a judicial branch or system of courts.

  9. Economy of France Most French businesses are privately owned. The government owns all or parts of certain businesses. The money the French uses is called Euros. The picture to the left shows you what a Euro looks like.

  10. Tourism in France The tourism in France is very fascinating. There are things like the Eiffel Tower that attracts a lot of tourists in France.
