  1. Meiosis and mitosis By trimbiel

  2. step • 1. Prophase: chromosomes condense, nuclear membrane dissolves • 2. Metaphase: chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell • 3. Anaphase: chromosomes separate by being pulled to opposite sides of the cell by spindle fibers. • 4. Telophase, leading to Cytokinesis: two new cells form. All the organelles divide themselves into the two new cells. The nuclear membrane reforms around the chromosomes.

  3. diferences Mitosis Ø In one-celled organisms to reproduce themselves (reproduction)Ø In multicellular organisms to multiply cells and growth.Ø In plants, mitosis occurs meristematis network, for example at the end of the stem, root tip. and cambiumØ In animals occurs in somatic cells (body cells)Ø Occurs through a series of stages, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, and interphaseØ Two daughter cells have the number of chromosomes as the parent (diploid)

  4. meiosis • Ø In multicellular organisms to form sex cells (gametes). Meiosis serves to reduce the number of chromosomes so that offspring have the same number of chromosomesØ In plants occur in the stamens and pistilsØ In animals occur in the genitalsØ Occurs through two series of stages, meiosis I and meiosis IIv Meiosis I (Leptonema, zigonema, pakinema, diplonema, diakenesis), metaphase I, anaphase I, telophasev Meiosis II prophase II, metaphase II, anaphase II, and telophase IIØ Four daughter cells which have half the chromosome number of the parent (haploid)

  5. gametogenesis • The process of gamete formation is called gametogenesis, which takes place in meiosis. This sometimes happens in the process of maturation phase (maturation), the progression of meiosis afterlife that does not result directly into gametes. At the front we mentioned that gametogenesis takes place in both sexual organs at tubuhan and animals. Gametogenesis divided into two, namely spermatogenesis (sperm formation) and oogenesis (formation of ovum)
