New Technical Workgroups • Guidelines for the Approval of SNIA Technical Work Groups • Requirements – Draft Charter & Program of Work • Relevance to SNIA Mission and Vision • Technical Merit • Meaningful material of technical merit to the SNIA membership, supporting the SNIA mission, vision, and strategy • Evidence of general interest • Minimum 3 SNIA Member companies committed to actively participate
New TWG Approval Process • Technical Council reviews proposal and may • Fully approve new TWG formation • TWG can immediately start doing technical work • Provisionally approve the new TWG • TWG can start meeting to complete Charter & Program of work • No technical work while provisionally approved • Send proposal back to submitters for further work, without any approval • If approved (full or provisionally) SNIA resources are allocated • Web site collaboration area on SNIA Members Only web site • Meeting resources at Symposiums
