  2. Main role of support staff • Support the exchange of information • Advice, guidance and technical support • Collate and synthesise project results • Maintain web to support outputs of projects • Dissemination and consultation

  3. Work areas for Digital Repositories Programme Support • Defining repository functional components and developing reference models • Developing guidelines and exemplars for the implementation of standards, specifications and good practice • Synthesis and dissemination of outputs • Consultation and validation of work via wider development communities • Identify common areas of interest with international partners • Advice on future directions, e.g. further programmes, internal/external partnerships

Defining repository functional components and developing and synthesising frameworks • Collating use cases and documenting work flows from projects using a common style and format • Working towards a usage model for repository related processes • Developing a clear definition of a repository ecology
